hello! I’m lucas (he/they), a brazilian-cuban artist based in chicago. my art centers around the simple and complex beauties of being human with a lens on the queer experience. 

i describe myself as an existential transsexual who is trying to make meaning out of their existence through art. some of my inspirations include dance, nature, queer nightlife, and the small moments of beauty that are woven into our daily lives.

when i am not stuck in my dream world i enjoy journaling, walks by lake michigan with my dog peggy, or working on my next outfit for my next drag performance.
